2012 BRCA EFRA Licence Applications

efraPlease note that Janet is now taking applications for 2012 EFRA licences.

For those who are entering the 2012 LSOR European Championship meeting in July then please obtain your licence.

 

Those entering the 4 wheel drive EFRA open class do NOT need to purchase a licence.

Their is no increase to the 2011 licence fee and the application form is available HERE, please remember to fill in all relevant details, even your emergency contact details too.

All drivers entering the 2 wheel drive class will need to purchase an EFRA licence.

A further announcement on the race fee will be posted following receipt of costs from EFRA.

Good luck to all those UK drivers entering the 2012 Euros meeting.

For 6 days from Monday the 23rd July the British Radio Car Association’s Large Scale Off Road section will be hosting the 2012 European Federation of Radio Operated Model Automobiles (EFRA) Large Scale Off Road Euros at the Nene Valley Raceway Off road track in Northamptonshire and this website is dedicated to this event and will provide details as and when they emerge. Round 2 of the 2012 BRCA LSOR national will be the Euros warm up meeting.

This meeting will take place on the 7/8th April.

 

The Nene Valley facility is situated on the main approach road to Santa Pod Raceway, one of the finest drag strips in Europe.

The clubs Astroturfed track is ~350 meters in length and contains high-speed banked corners, banked hairpin bends, various straights, humps and bumps with a challenging and technical infield with lap times around 40 seconds.

The facility is self-contained with a covered rostrum, toilets, power, floodlight arena, and not only is the track area covered in Astroturf but the pitting and camping area is too.

Camping is available on site throughout the event with fresh running water along with on site catering.

For those driving, the Nene is easily reached off the M1, A14 and A6 road networks.

The nearest postcode for the satnav is Santa Pods – NN29 7XA but keep an eye out for the venue which is opposite the Polish Camp and their four white stones!.

As you approach the Nene keep an eye out for the local blue & brown Santa Pod tourist\RAC signs which are posted on all the main road ways in the area.

Please note that from the 20th to 22nd July Santa Pod will be hosting the annual bug jam event which attracts 250,000 VW owners from across Europe to this annual event.

Due to this event access to Airfield road may be controlled to limited access only and Sunday afternoon\early evening is when most attendees will be leaving the event and as such those travelling to the Euros may wish to avoid arriving during this busy period.
